Drag performance art by Sahira Q

Shahrazi; somewhere in between the earth and the stars, she explores themes of diaspora, spirit, love, war, and rebirth. Layering psychic rhythms, offbeat grooves, and sensual melodies for you to dance to… Dreamy, soulful sounds from the woods to the water to the moon and back. Self-taught musician, multidisciplinary artist, and producer. Actively experimenting since 2017, every Shahrazi performance is a unique energetic experience. Based in Canada, ties to Iran, Poland, Afghanistan, and Texas. https://linktr.ee/shahrazi

Effigy Girl is the music and art of Hazel Dreslinski. Combining influences from shoegaze to synthpop, with a dash of folk, their songs are imbued with the mixture of delicate earnestness, hope and anxiety that arises during transitory times. The project emerged from a collection of dodgy voice memos recorded during a period of uncertainty about the future. Equally informed by a fascination with surrealism and the uncanny valley - the foundation for Hazel’s multimedia visual art - the core of Effigy Girl is an appreciation of life, unanswerable questions, and what makes us human.(or, that’s what they’d like to think, anyway) https://www.instagram.com/effigygirl/

Harbhajunkie is the stage name for Mridul Harbhajanka, who makes laid-back, dreamy, space music with accompanying visuals. Her songs are often inspired by true events and life experiences, combining the ukulele/keys with layers and layers of dreamy vocals. https://www.instagram.com/harbhajunkie/

Sutton is a singer and emerging poet who will be sharing some words with us. Written during times of strife, these words are Sutton's deepest feelings. These words are things that often go unspoken, longing and yearning for the nostalgia and familiarity of the past.

Sahira Q is a multidisciplinary artist who uses drag as a way to explore themes of gender, culture, romance, pleasure, and self. They identify as trans-feminine, non-binary, and queer. They emigrated to Canada from Zanzibar, Tanzania more than ten years ago but miss the island sun every day. Outside of art, you can find them playing video games, watching cartoons with their partner, or dancing up a storm in their kitchen. They are also an activist, and a freelance graphic designer. Mouthfeel is a 3 piece prog metal band, heavy, haunting, mostly instrumental, moody. https://www.instagram.com/mouthfeel.music/

Finding Your Story Through Movement

Registration Required.
