Borderless Festival is back!
Tune in for our free digital livestream and experience Peterborough-Nogojiwanong’s eclectic underground culture.

This past summer, Borderless took over the city to make art everywhere! As part of Artsweek SHIFT, Borderless Music & Arts Festival 2021 presented a free online broadcast that featured a mix of indoor, outdoor, pre-recorded and live-streamed performances.

Borderless made local history after streaming for over 24 hours and supporting over 30 marginalized artists in creating their own digital content. Operating since 2016, not only has it been the first festival of its kind in the city and country, Borderless has now become the first virtual festival in Peterborough Nogojiwanong.

Select performances and exclusive interviews are now being uploaded to the Borderless Records youtube so that everyone can witness the magick we brought together this year. Every week, we will showcase Borderless artists that we know you are going to love!

Please subscribe to our Youtube channel and stay tuned.

Borderless Music & Arts Festival 2021 continues on October 21 with another livestream.

Borderless Music & Arts Festival is a multidisciplinary arts showcase that centres women, BIPOC, intersectional identities, and inclusive community-building with an eclectic mosaic of music, dance, visual art, drag, poetry, comedy, circus, and film.

For over 4 years, Borderless and its year-round programming has brought an amazing wealth of diversity, culture, collaboration, innovation, and excitement to the city. Although we cannot celebrate shared space in the way we usually would, we invite you to join us in the virtual plane! We are so grateful for the support of the Electric City Culture Council, Artsweek Peterborough, OPIRG, and DBIA Peterborough for giving us the opportunity to share our art virtually. Borderless culture is alive & thriving.

We need your help to support these amazing local artists!

Now that we have established ourselves in the community, started a website, and live-streamed our first virtual festival, we are planning our first in-person event since the pandemic started. As a completely independent DIY project, we need to fundraise to keep going.

Since 2016, Borderless Records has been a passion project and community building effort to empower marginalized artists and create a more inclusive and magnificent music & arts environment in the city. This fundraiser will ensure that Borderless will be able to continue operating and supporting local artists throughout the year. This fundraiser will be integral to making our first in-person event of 2022 an unforgettable experience for Peterborough Nogojiwanong.
